simply 'shrooms for breakfast



Dench olive and rosemary bread toasted with sautéed mushrooms.

Bog standard, cultivated Swiss Browns are fine as long as you treat them with respect. Cook over a low heat. Just a bit of butter and garlic, finished with parsley, salt and pepper.

yes exactly 'treated with respect', and why do the ones we pick ourselves taste so much better?

I've never worked out why mushrooms divide people so much into love or hate camps. I sit in the middle, like but don't get all that excited about them.

Ann link didn't work, yup I was the first speaker of the day at the conference. Feels like a year ago now!
