the time when masterch*f humbled me
My facebook feed featured a fellow Wellingtonian adrift in Melbourne lamenting how last night's Masterchef (Friday Masterclass) made her homesick.
Figured a MC episode shot in my hometown was worth breaking my program ban.
Here's a taste of some of my favourite cafes in Wellington...
...and yes it's very cold there in winter.
(p.s. sweetie it's Floraditas, not Florantinas.)

IBM is in Wellington and my IBM pal goes there a lot. Was stuck there the week you were stuck here.
Funny what makes one homesick though.

And of course, the copyright wraith strikes again! The video you linked to isn't available in New Zealand :)
Darn the regional block. You could google it on Yout*be and see if it's been uploaded? But you know how gorgeous Wellington can look on a sunny winters day? Though when they were "foraging" for watercress and samphire around the rocks I kept thinking it looked awfully close to Moa Point (is that still where the sewerage goes?)
Anne - this weeks windy, cold weather in Melbourne makes me homesick. Equally wistful for the old country, but grateful that days like this are relatively uncommon.
