still here - working but a gal has to play too

BBQs - 1
Picnics - 1
Yummy dishes at Cookie consumed - 5
Friends visiting from overseas - 3
Sleeps til the SE comes home - 4
Bits sunburnt - 2
Book proposals completed - 2/3

The year is galloping away from me. Various bits sent to wise people to proofread but due to the time of year is a big ask to expect a speedy turnaround.

Well, yes, one does. It's gonna rain - hard - all weekend, so play now while you can, I say.

Which bits got burnt?

I'm guessing the top bits, Lucy.

Nice to hear things going so well, and looking forward to your return (and your book).

Even in the thick of writing, it seems you have more of a life than I do.

Good luck with it all.

it does feel like the time of year when we should be playing and no one is about to help finish up the work for the year - glad to see you are finding some time to play a little while you immerse yourself in work!

Lucy - shoulders, neck. Yes glorious rain...good for writing and avoiding being further sun kissed.

Zoe - spot on, though a moment longer and the tops of my feet would have fried.

Docwitch - dearest friend visiting from NZ, some things have to take priority (and annual BBQ day at RRR as I'll be away for the chrissie party darn it).

Johanna - to be honest the "all work and no play" of recent weeks was making me a very dull gal. I figure that ultimately sanity will aid productivity. And yes - work is stupidly busy right now (but absolutely needs to be for me being self-employed with unpaid holiday ahead).
